Real Rubio Crianza
Varieties
80% Tempranillo. 20% Graciano
Vinification and ageing
Harvested at the beginning of October. Selection of some low yielding vines to create a wine to lay down. Grapes totally destemmed and controlled fermentation at 25ºC. 18 months cask ageing, of which 12 were in French oak and 6 months in American oak, to complete the polishing of the wine.
Tasting notes
This is a wine which identifies itself as a typical Rioja crianza wine with the particular features of the terroir of Aldeanueva de Ebro and of the Real Rubio winery. The graciano grape combined with the classic tempranillo give us a wine with lively colours and solid acidity. On the nose, the French cask mingles with the red berries, vanilla. Potent in the mouth, long on the palate with pleasant, ripe tannin which completes the harmony of the wine.
Food pairing suggestions
Ideal with charcuterie, cheeses or tapas. Also with substantial dishes, stews, red meat, blue fish.
Best served at between 14º y 16º.
