Real Rubio Finca el Tordillo
Varieties
45% Tempranillo. 55% Graciano
Vinification and ageing
Harvested at the end of September 2010.
This selection of the best grapes from the best plots of this great vintage was chosen to create one of the bodega’s best wines for laying down for a very long time. Long cask ageing has shown the potential that was predicted for this wine and now the bottle has been left polishing off the fine points of a wine which will make history, as the first wine to bear the Real Rubio label.
Cask-aged in American oak for 26 months. 40 months rounding off in the bottle.
Tasting notes
To the eye it shows intense garnet and ruby colours. A complex aroma where ripe fruit melts into complex toasted Wood aromas, with balsamic and mineral nuances. In the mouth it proves powerful, full-bodied and packed with sensations. Designed for great occasions.
Food pairing suggestions
Iberian pork charcuterie, game casseroles, red meat and mature cheeses. Best served at around 18ºC.
